Joe Garland is a native Westchesterite — Tuckahoe — who grew up in the Singer-Songwriter era of the early- and mid-70s. It was probably not said of Fred Astaire: he can’t dance, he can’t sing, he can’t act.

As for Joe, as he says, he can’t play, he can’t write, he can’t sing. He does what he can, though, with what he writes. Some ballads, some more intimate.
